Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Northumbria International Scholarship 2025/26, you must:
- Hold International or EU fee status
- Be currently studying a UK-based Level 6 Undergraduate degree
- Be a self-funded student (not receiving sponsorship)
- Receive an offer and enroll in a full-time PGT course at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus
- Meet the entry requirements of your chosen postgraduate course
Excluded Courses
Certain programmes are not eligible for the £3,000 scholarship. These include:
- Any Advanced Practice or Study Abroad Masters courses
- Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) MSc
- Nursing Science MSc (all specialisations: Adult, Child, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities)
- Midwifery Studies MSc
- Social Work MA
- Bar, Bar LLM, LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE1)
Important Notes
- The scholarship is applied automatically as a tuition fee discount—no application is needed
- Students transferring from Advanced Practice or Study Abroad Masters to standard tracks after four weeks will lose eligibility
- This offer cannot be combined with other scholarships or discounts
- Only UK-based qualifications are valid; qualifications earned overseas do not qualify
- Current Northumbria undergraduate students are not eligible for this award but may apply for the Alumni Discount
- Sponsored students or those from partner institutions with custom fee agreements are not eligible
- The scholarship is a fee reduction, not a cash award
- Students who defer their place to a future intake will lose the scholarship
- The University’s decision is final and not subject to appeal
Application Procedure
You do not need to apply separately for this scholarship. Once you apply and are offered a place in an eligible Postgraduate Taught programme at Northumbria University starting in September 2025 or January 2026, the £3,000 scholarship will be automatically applied to your tuition fee.
