Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries
- For Bachelor's programs: Must have completed secondary education equivalent to Czech high school
- For Master’s programs: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree
- For PhD programs: Must hold a Master’s degree
- Applicants for English-taught programs must pass an online English proficiency test
- Not eligible: Citizens of the Czech Republic, EU, or those with permanent residence in the Czech Republic

1. Can I apply if I already have permanent residence in the Czech Republic?
No. The scholarship is strictly for foreign nationals from developing countries who do not have permanent residence in the Czech Republic or the EU.
2. Do I need to know Czech to apply for the scholarship?
Not necessarily. You can apply for English-taught programs. However, if applying for Czech-taught programs, you’ll be required to take a one-year Czech language preparatory course.
3. Will I be required to take an entrance test?
Yes. For most programs, entrance exams are required by the host university. Additionally, those applying for English-taught programs must pass an online English test during the application.
