All selected scholars receive full financial support from the INPEX Scholarship Foundation. Here's what the scholarship includes:
For Indonesian, Australian, and UAE Recipients:
- Round-trip airfare from home country to Japan
- Full tuition coverage: including admission and entrance exam fees
- Monthly stipend of ¥160,000 for living expenses
- Commuter pass expenses
- Preparatory/settlement allowance upon arrival in Japan
- Scholarship duration: Up to 2 years and 8 months
For Japanese Scholarship Recipients:
- Monthly stipend of ¥150,000
- Round-trip airfare between Japan and the destination country (Indonesia, Australia, or UAE)
- Duration: Up to 2 years

To apply for the INPEX Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the following nationality-specific and general requirements:
For Indonesian Applicants:
- Must be an Indonesian citizen
- Completed a degree in Natural Sciences from an Indonesian university
- Achieved a minimum GPA of 3.00
- Under 30 years old
- Must obtain a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from a Japanese graduate school/professor
For Australian Applicants:
- Must be an Australian citizen
- Graduated from a major Australian university in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Natural Sciences
- GPA of at least 3.00/4.0 or 5.25/7.0
- Under 30 years of age
- Must obtain a LOA from a Japanese graduate school/professor
For UAE Applicants:
- Must be a UAE national
- Graduated from a recognized UAE university in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Natural Sciences
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Under 30 years old
- Must submit a LOA from a Japanese university professor or graduate school
For Japanese Applicants (Outbound Scholarship):
- Must be a Japanese citizen
- Graduated from a university in Japan or have equivalent academic qualifications
- Under 35 years of age
- Aspires to study or conduct research in Indonesia, Australia, or the UAE
