The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship and University of Adelaide Research Scholarships offer a range of benefits:
1. Stipends:
- RTP Stipend for full-time students: $34,210 pa (indexed annually)
- RTP Stipend for half-time students: $17,105 pa (indexed annually)
- RTP Stipend for Indigenous full-time students: $50,291 pa (indexed annually)
- RTP Stipend for Indigenous half-time students: $25,145.50 pa (indexed annually)
- Stipend amounts may be subject to taxation; independent financial advice is recommended.
2. Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset / Tuition Fee Waiver:
- Domestic students receive an RTP Fee Offset covering tuition fees.
- International students with RTP Scholarship receive a tuition fee waiver.
- International students with University of Adelaide Research Scholarship have tuition fees waived.
3. Allowances:
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC):
- International students receive compulsory Medibank OSHC.
- Coverage duration: up to 27 months for Research Masters, up to 48 months for Research Doctorate.
- Relocation Allowance:
- Domestic students: up to AUD$1,000.
- International students: up to AUD$1,500.
- Visa Entitlements and Requirements:
- International candidates bear visa application fees and medical examination costs.
- Early Submission Allowance:
- Eligible for stipend equivalent up to two months upon early thesis submission.
- Payment made within 4 weeks of thesis submission.
