MOFA 2024 New Southbound Short-Term Study Scholarship Program in Taiwan (Fully Funded)
Description
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Taiwan is excited to announce the 2024 New Southbound Short-term Study Program, offering university students from select countries a unique opportunity to study in Taiwan from September 2024 to January 2025. This program combines Mandarin language training with advanced semiconductor courses, fostering educational exchange and collaboration between Taiwan and New Southbound Policy region countries. Participants will experience Taiwan’s vibrant educational landscape, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in a holistic and enriching academic environment.
Generous financial support is provided, including a round-trip air ticket (up to NTD 15,000), living expenses (NTD 10,000 per month), housing (NTD 18,000 per month), student insurance (NTD 3,300 for five months), and full subsidies for courses, visits, trips, and activities. Eligible applicants must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors at universities in the New Southbound Policy countries and meet specific nationality and financial aid criteria. This program promises a transformative educational experience, bridging cultures and advancing knowledge in Mandarin and semiconductor studies.

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility: Be currently enrolled in the second, third, or fourth year of a university program at an institution located in a New Southbound Policy partner country.
- Citizenship: Hold a passport from a country other than the People's Republic of China (including Hong Kong and Macau) or Taiwan (Republic of China).
- Financial Aid: Not be currently receiving financial support from the Taiwanese government, its agencies, or educational institutions.
