The University of Warsaw (UW), one of Poland’s leading research universities, has opened admissions for its Doctoral Schools for the 2025/2026 academic year. With 325 doctoral positions available across 26 scientific disciplines, aspiring researchers are encouraged to apply through the Internet Recruitment of Candidates (IRK) platform. The deadline to submit applications is 29 May 2025.

Available Subjects
The University of Warsaw offers four fully accredited doctoral schools:
- Doctoral School of Social Sciences
- Doctoral School of Humanities
- Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences
- Interdisciplinary Doctoral School

Doctoral Scholarships & Financial Support
All admitted candidates are entitled to a doctoral scholarship for 48 months, funded by the Polish government. The monthly scholarship is as follows:
- PLN 4,242 gross before mid-term evaluation
- PLN 5,340.90 gross after passing the mid-term evaluation
- Additional PLN 1,040.70 gross/month for doctoral candidates with a disability certificate
In addition, the university has introduced a “Scholarship to Start”, awarded to the top 20% of candidates with the best enrolment scores within each discipline.
