Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is open to candidates who, by September 2025, hold an honours degree in social sciences. While a Master’s degree is preferred, it is not mandatory. Applicants must meet the following academic criteria:
- A minimum upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or overseas equivalent.
- Evidence of some first-class level performance.
- Candidates without a Master’s degree must have a first-class undergraduate degree (or distinction equivalent).
Additionally:
- Three international scholarships are available for candidates from OECD-classified Least Developed, Low-Income, Lower-Middle, or Upper-Middle Income countries.
- Two home scholarships are available for UK Widening Participation candidates.
