Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  1. Be accepted for admission to an eligible programme for 2025–2026.
  2. Hold or expect to achieve a first-class honours degree or equivalent.
  3. Provide a personal statement addressing:
  4. Why you chose the University of Edinburgh.
  5. How the degree will benefit your career.
  6. How the degree will contribute to your community or country.
  7. Be domiciled in one of the eligible countries (based on the DAC List of ODA Recipients 2025–2026).

Special Consideration: Priority will be given to candidates who have not previously studied at the master’s level and who have an unconditional offer at the time of scholarship application.

Application Procedure

Deadline: 29 May 2025 (23:59 UK Time)

  1. Apply for admission to the University of Edinburgh for an eligible programme.
  2. After receiving your University login (up to 5 working days after applying), access the MyEd portal.
  3. Complete the online scholarship application form available through EUCLID via MyEd.

Selection and Notification

  1. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and the strength of the personal statement.
  2. Successful applicants will be notified by late June or early July 2025.
