Degree Level

UCAS China Government Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded) is available to undertake Masters, PhD level programs at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Duration

  • Master’s Programs: 2–3 years.
  • Doctoral Programs: 3 years.

Tuition and Fees

Monthly Stipend

  • Doctoral Students: A total monthly stipend of RMB 5,000 (includes a research assistantship).
  • Master’s Students: A total monthly stipend of RMB 3,500 (includes a research assistantship).

Accommodation

  • Free shared accommodation on campus.
  • Off-campus living allowance: RMB 1,000/month for Doctoral students and RMB 700/month for Master’s students (with prior approval).

Medical Insurance

  • Comprehensive insurance coverage provided by the Ministry of Education.


Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Academic Excellence

  • A Bachelor’s degree for Master’s applicants (under 40 years old).
  • A Master’s degree for Doctoral applicants (under 45 years old).

Supervisor Recommendation

  • Candidates must be recommended by a UCAS-affiliated supervisor.

Graduation Status

  • Applicants must not be currently enrolled in any Chinese university and must have graduated at least a year before applying.

No Concurrent Sponsorship

  • Candidates should not hold any other scholarships during the application.


Application Procedure

Required Documents:

Applicants need to prepare the following documents (in English or Chinese):

  • Admission Application Form
  • Fill and print via the UCAS online portal.
  • CSC Scholarship Application Form
  • Apply through the CSC website (agency number for UCAS: 80001).
  • Personal Statement
  • Declare that you are not receiving any other sponsorship.
  • Passport Copy
  • A valid passport with at least 2 years of validity.
  • Degree Certificates
  • Original notarized copies of degrees (Bachelor’s for Master’s; Master’s and Bachelor’s for Doctoral).
  • Academic Transcripts
  • Official transcripts of undergraduate (and graduate, if applicable) studies.
  • Recommendation Letters
  • Two academic references on official letterhead.
  • CV and Research Proposal
  • Include details of your academic background and future research plans.
  • Published Papers
  • Maximum of 5 abstracts or title pages of published works (optional).

Find a Supervisor

  • Identify an eligible supervisor at a UCAS-affiliated institute.

Document Submission

  • Send hard and soft copies of your application documents to the supervisor.

Supervisor's Acceptance

  • The supervisor evaluates your academic credentials and provides written approval.

Institutional Review

  • The affiliated institute reviews the application and submits it to UCAS.

Final Selection by UCAS

  • UCAS reviews all submissions and finalizes the scholarship awards.
