Benefits
Scholarships for First Cycle: January 13, 2025 – February 23, 2025
Dr. Nathalie Johnson Scholarship
- Award Amount: $25,000
- Eligibility: Medical students enrolled in an LCME-accredited MD program in Oregon. Preference is given to students from historically underrepresented backgrounds with demonstrated financial need.
- Focus: Promoting health equity and reducing Black maternal mortality.
Dr. Theodore Quincy Miller Scholarship
- Award Amount: $5,000
- Eligibility: African American male medical students enrolled in an LCME-accredited U.S. MD program.
- Focus: Recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service.
Dr. William Merrill Scholarship
- Award Amount: $7,500
- Eligibility: Underrepresented medical students enrolled in an accredited medical school, preferably attending a public or Historically Black College or University (HBCU) medical school.
- Focus: Interest in healthcare issues affecting rural populations.
Eligible Nationalities
This scholarship is open to only domestic students.
Eligibility Criteria
General Eligibility Requirements:
- Citizenship: U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients.
- Enrollment: Currently enrolled in an accredited, graduate-level U.S. healthcare program.
- Financial Need: Demonstrated financial need.
- Commitment: Demonstrated leadership ability and a commitment to serving medically underserved communities.
