Application Procedure
How to Apply for the Silk-Road Scholarship
Step 1: Online Application on CSC Portal
- Visit the official Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) website: studyinchina.csc.edu.cn.
- Fill out the application form.
- Agency Number: 10284
- Program Type: Type B
- Download and submit the completed form.
Step 2: NJU Application Portal
- Register at NJU’s International Student Service System: istudy.nju.edu.cn.
- Upload the required documents, including:
- CSC application form
- Academic transcripts
- Highest diploma
- Language proficiency test results (HSK, IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo)
- Medical certificate
- Non-criminal record certificate
Step 3: Review and Evaluation
- Applications undergo initial review (feedback within three days).
- Final assessments by NJU departments in April–May 2025.
- Admission results announced by the CSC in July 2025.
Annual Scholarship Assessment
To maintain the scholarship, students must:
- Comply with NJU’s academic regulations.
- Pass the annual evaluation conducted by the Chinese Scholarship Council between March and May. Failure to meet the assessment criteria may result in suspension or cancellation of the scholarship.
