King’s College London is offering prestigious NHSE-funded scholarships for Internationally Qualified Sonographers who wish to pursue a Pg Cert in Clinical Ultrasound for the 2025–26 academic year. This scholarship supports overseas-trained sonographers in obtaining Level 7 recognition and meeting UK professional standards while enhancing their clinical skills through academic training.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be:
- Internationally qualified sonographers recruited via NHSE CDC or currently working in the UK NHS as non-obstetrics sonographers.
- Hold a clinical placement in the NHS starting September 2025 (minimum 14 hours per week).
- Meet King’s College London’s standard eligibility criteria, including English language requirements.
Application Procedure

- No separate scholarship application; tick funding box number 5 and enter funding code US2025.
- Pay a non-refundable £85 application fee.
- Submit the following documents:
- Personal statement outlining existing skills and experience.
- Skills gap analysis self-assessment form.
- Certificates, transcripts, and overseas registration details.
- Up-to-date CV.
- Two references, including one from the current NHS employer.
- Employer’s letter of support and memorandum of agreement from the placement.
- Evidence of English proficiency and right to work/study in the UK (if required).
Selection Process
- Eligible candidates will be invited to a 30-minute interview via Microsoft Teams.
- Short-listed applicants attend an in-person workshop and entrance exam (for those seeking RPL credits).
- Final scholarship decisions will be announced by 1 September 2025.
