Description
The HZB International Summer Student Program 2024 (ISSP) welcomes applications from all aspiring participants interested in the renowned research center based in Berlin. This eight-week program, running from July 1st to August 23rd, 2024, is open to 20 undergraduate students globally.
There are no nationality restrictions for applicants, and the program encourages diversity. Notably, there's no requirement for English language tests like IELTS. Participants are expected to maintain their status as students at their respective universities at the program's commencement.

HZB International Summer Student Program 2024 in Germany. (Fully Funded) is available to undertake Undergraduate level programs at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB).

Benefits
Subsistence allowance:
- Non-German students: 1,900€ gross
- Berlin and Potsdam university students: 1,000€ gross
Travel subsidy:
- Covers 75% of travel expenses
- Up to 200€ for EU countries
- Up to 800€ for non-EU countries
- Assists with travel between Berlin and participants' residences

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to students from all countries.
- Must be an undergraduate student (not pursuing a PhD) in fields like Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Structural Biology, Mathematics, Engineering, Life, Environmental Sciences, or related disciplines.
- Completion of at least two years of full-time study in the major discipline at the university level.
- Enrolled as a student at your university during the stay at HZB from July 1 to August 23, 2024.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of German is beneficial.
- Ability to provide a letter of reference along with the application.
Application Procedure
Conditions of the Program:
- Mandatory participation for the entire duration of the program.
- Working hours: 40 hours per week.
- Internship contract spanning 8 weeks dedicated to your project.
