Duration
- If you're studying an undergraduate or postgraduate taught course, ARU will award the scholarship in your first year.
- If you're studying a research programme, ARU will award the scholarship each year that you pay full tuition fees, up to a maximum of three years.

Who qualifies?
- Undergraduate, postgraduate, and research students are all welcome to apply.
- Meeting our eligibility criteria, based on your grades and the overall quality of your application, is your key to receiving the scholarship.
How much can you receive?
- Undergraduates:
- Achieve strong results in high school (minimum 120 UCAS points or equivalent): Get £2,000 towards your tuition!
- Achieve good results in high school (minimum 96 UCAS points or equivalent): Get £1,000 towards your tuition!
- Postgraduates:
- Hold a 1st class or 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent): Get £2,000 towards your tuition!
- Hold a 2:2 undergraduate degree (or equivalent): Get £1,000 towards your tuition!
- Research Students:
- Achieve a Distinction in your Master's degree (or equivalent): Get £2,000 towards your tuition fees for your research program!
- Achieve a Merit in your Master's degree (or equivalent): Get £1,000 towards your tuition fees for your research program!
Important Note:
This scholarship acts as a discount on your tuition fees. We'll directly deduct the awarded amount from your total fees.

Eligible Nationalities
This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for consideration for our International Merit Scholarship you must be:
- an international student (international tuition fee payer)
- starting a full-time degree course at our Cambridge, Chelmsford, or Peterborough campuses
- studying a bachelor degree, a taught Masters, or a research programme
- studying full-time, unless there are exceptional circumstances preventing full-time study.
Undergraduate students should have achieved CCC grades or above at A-level (or equivalent). Postgraduate students should hold a 2:2 or above (or equivalent).
Degree apprenticeships, foundation degrees, distance learning or work-based degrees, Postgraduate Certificates, Postgraduate Diplomas, students applying to ARU College, and students joining a Masters with credit are excluded.
