AINSE Australia Residential Student Scholarship 2025
Description
The Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE) has announced the opening of applications for the 2025 Residential Student Scholarship (RSS), offering a unique opportunity for Ph.D. students to advance their research at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). The RSS provides financial support of up to A$9,000 per annum, along with an additional travel and accommodation allowance of up to A$5,000, for those who will reside at ANSTO facilities for an average of six months per year.
Open to students enrolled in a Ph.D. program at an AINSE Member University and receiving an RTP scholarship or equivalent, this scholarship is designed to foster collaboration between students and ANSTO experts, facilitating cutting-edge research in nuclear science and engineering. Applications will be accepted from 1 February to 15 April 2025, offering a gateway to unparalleled research opportunities and professional growth in this critical field.

- The Residential Student Scholarship (RSS) is for Ph.D. students who will need to stay at ANSTO facilities for a period averaging no less than 6 months per year.
- The RSS comprises an A$9,000 stipend (newly-increased as of 1 July 2023) and up to A$5,000 travel support per annum.

Eligibility Criteria
The ANSTO Research Scholarships (RSS) program offers eligible students the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. at an AINSE Member University while receiving an RTP scholarship or equivalent. A key requirement is that the research project must utilize ANSTO's facilities and expertise for a minimum of six months per year on average.

Application Procedure
To apply for the RSS Scholarship, contact your AINSE Member Representative and establish a connection with an appropriate ANSTO co-supervisor on the instrument you will be using for your research.
You must complete the application form using our online application portal prior to the application deadline.
