Eligibility: Newly enrolled AA or Bachelors performance program students only. Must be a Hollywood High School senior, graduating in 2013. Open to US citizen and non-US citizens. MI enrollment application fee waiver of $100 will be applied to all scholarship applicants.
Scholarship Open for International Students: US citizen and non-US citizens can apply for this scholarship.
Scholarship Description: The Hard Rock Cafe/Hollywood High Scholarship, generously sponsored by The Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, will be awarded to a Hollywood High School senior graduating in 2013 who demonstrates excellence in musicianship and performance skills (in any genre) and will be enrolling in any Associate of Arts Performance program or Bachelors Performance program at Musicians Institute in Fall 2013.The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in the AA or Bachelor Degree performance program only (vocal, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard), and may not be transferred to “non-performance program” emphases (Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within any degree.
What does it cover? $5,000.00 tuition credit ($2,500.00 for the first two quarters of the program as long as the recipient maintains satisfactory progress). Awardees must maintain enrollment at 12 units (fulltime status) during the full length of award period. Failure to maintain enrollment and satisfactory academic progress in AA or Bachelors program for the full duration of the scholarship may result in withdrawal of the award.
