Working in a team with Zab Moghal – M.Phil (Cantab); MRICS our Hiring Manager and colleagues within the Development Directorate.
The Development Directorate values diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision-making and problem-solving within their team. The Summer Internship Program is designed to provide Interns with a taster of the end-to-end development process, providing an opportunity to work on real-life projects. You will also attend online presentations delivered by experts in the field to gain an understanding of how our teams acquire sites, undertake de-risking/technical due diligence activities, secure planning consents, dispose of sites and monitor development sites including post-contract activities.
This six-week Summer Internship (8th August - 16th September) is a rare chance to build your development-based commercial and business skills through on-the-job learning and practical work experience in a fast-growing, national organization with a real social purpose.
Working with a small team you will contribute to preparing reports, briefs, case studies, and deliver presentations to secure buy-in from senior colleagues on a proposed de-risking and disposal strategy.
You will be taught how to draw together any relevant planning policies, site histories, and local context about a site to ascertain the potential of securing planning consent. In addition, you will be taught how land values are generated. You will learn how to identify, select, assemble, and analyze data relevant to undertaking development appraisals/residual valuations.
